Plays of previous years
The play “Distress from Cleverness”, performed in June
of 2003, is a serious achievement of the TheaterGames
teen’s group during the previous season.
“The kids play Griboedov from a clean slate. They
don’t imitate anyone and aren’t bound to any understandings
of the play … unlike many generations of actors, who
despite the disparity in interpretations had defined
Griboedov’s characters according to a certain method
of acting and of understanding of the characters’ traits.
Let’s rejoice because Griboedov and his work are still
alive if kids of the 21st century perform his play”
– from the article in “Vstrecha”, by Anna Nekhendzi
